Is Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) the same as high-linoleic safflower oil (SAF)? Answer »
It is not the same. In a 16-week, double-blind crossover study conducted in a Ohio State University trial, researchers compared high-linoleic safflower oil (SAF) with conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). They studied post-menopausal women who had high blood sugar and wanted to lose weight. These participants showed an average reduction of 6.3 percent belly fat, an increase in lean body mass, and an average of 20.3 percent increase in adiponectin.*

How long does it take to see results if taking the recommended dose of 2 Tbsp./day of SafSlim? Answer »
The university study1 on high-linoleic safflower oil, SafSlim’s main ingredient, showed that participants (post-menopausal women who had high blood sugar) began having results after 12 weeks with better results at the end of the study (week 16). They lost an average of 6.3 % belly fat during the 16-week period. The results started to occur after week 12 with most of the reduction of belly fat noted after the 16-week mark. The study also showed that it took four weeks before the linoleic acid levels began to rise in participants’ blood.
Since each individual is different, it is not possible to determine when a person will begin to see results. Prior to beginning any exercise or diet program, you should consult your health care professional. For best results, use in conjunction with a sound diet and exercise program.*

Why is belly fat so hard to lose? Answer »
Belly fat causes include poor diet, sedentary lifestyle and genetics, occasional stress, appetite increases and slowing metabolism.
Daily supplementation with high-linoleic safflower oil – the main ingredient in SafSlim – showed in a university study1 to help increase the important belly fat hormone adiponectin, which promotes insulin sensitivity, helps decrease appetite and supports normal blood sugar balance.*

Does SafSlim work without diet and exercise? Answer »
SafSlim is based on a 16-week university study of overweight, post-menopausal women who had high blood sugar.1 The participants taking high-linoleic safflower oil, SafSlim’s main ingredient, showed an average of 6.3% truncal fat loss, especially belly fat, and an average of 20.3% increase in adiponectin, an important hormone in belly fat reduction, with no change in their diet or exercise program. ReBody recommends, however, using SafSlim as part of a reduced calorie diet and exercise program.*

If safflower oil is the ingredient that helps belly fat, couldn’t I just buy it at the grocery store and take it? Answer »
You probably won’t find a high-linoleic safflower oil in the grocery store. The safflower oil commonly found in the grocery store is an oleic oil, a non-essential fatty acid generally used for cooking. It has a higher smoke point for cooking purposes. The safflower oil high in linoleic acid is not designed for cooking because it has a low smoke point.
If you did find a high-linoleic safflower oil in the grocery store, the question is would you be inclined to ingest this vegetable oil two-times daily? Most would agree this isn’t tolerable.
SafSlim was designed using this unique essential fatty acid—high-linoleic safflower oil—the same used in the Ohio State University study1 that demonstrated an average of 6.3% rediction in belly fat and increase adiponectind by an average of 20.3% after 16 weeks of use by overweight, post-menopausal women who had high blood sugar. A patent-pending delivery system emulsifies the oil so it’s easier to digest. It’s flavored without any added sugar, creating a delicious, creamy consistency that is naturally derived and that people look forward to taking.*

What happens when I reach my ideal size? Should I continue SafSlim? Answer »
SafSlim contains naturally derived ingredients that are indicated to be generally safe for most adults for daily use. The research1 showed the results for truncal fat, especially belly fat loss and adiponectin increase, were best at the end of the 16-week study period. The clinical study did not include a maintenance program. However, you may want to continue taking one Tablespoon per day for maintenance, along with your diet and exercise program, to determine if SafSlim helps you maintain your ideal size. If you begin gaining belly fat again, return to two Tablespoons per day.*
